The World of Abidin Dino

In conjunction with Philips, the Sakıp Sabancı Museum hosted the Abidin Dino – One World exhibition, which celebrated the work of multi-faceted man of the arts and culture Abidin Dino, who passed away fourteen years ago. Known for the important imprint left by both his drawings and his writings, a wide spectrum of Abidin’s work over the eighty years of his life in Turkey and abroad, particularly in France, was presented in this exhibition along with documentation. The exhibition introduced visitors to this valuable and respected artist through hundreds of his collected works, photographs and documents reflecting the varied phases of his life.

Through the educational programs of the exhibition “The World of Abidin Dino”, children meet the painter, writer, illustrator and caricaturist Abidin Dino. A maximum of 20 children are accepted to the programs which are prepared for different age groups: 3–6, 7–10 and 11-14.
