The tuğra consists of the words, ‘Mehmed b. Murad Han, may he ever be victorious.’ The document (temlikname) was drawn up in Edirne, and concerns the conveyance of ownership of the villages of Gayder Hori and Vulgaro Hori in Dimetoka belonging to Mahmud Çelebi, the son of Sultan Mehmed II’s paternal aunt Fatma Hatun, to his sister Sitti Hatun. The document describes Sitti Hatun as the crown of all women. She must be the Sitti Hatun (d. 1467) who was the eldest daughter of Dulkadiroğlu Süleyman Bey and became the second wife of Sultan Mehmed II. The document is written in divani script, which derived from the script known as zülf-i arus or eski talik.
